1. Know and use studentβs first names.
2. Convey your accessibility by having a chair at your desk and by walking about your classroom during student seat work, listen attentively,
3. Be organized β have necessary materials and equipment available.
4. Convey enthusiasm for the subject to be taught and for the students.
5. Describe the task or skil to be taught as a β challenge β and when students evidence difficulty , the teacher should evidence β cognitive empathy
6. Encourage students to seek help. Discuss exactly how students can ask for assistance.
7. Create a collaborative atmosphere by soliciting student input on goals.
8. Invite visitors into your classroom to observe. Have students give a tour and have him/her describe how your class is conducted
9. Try to ask all students at least one question ( engage the entire class)
10. Ask students who do not participate questions that they are capable of answering. Take such answers as the starting point for a discussion.
